HALSEY and PINK COLORED TEA, RECENTLY BAKED COOKIES, FINGERS COVERING SOMEONE’S MOUTH WHEN THEY LAUGH, CINNAMON AND VANILLA, WIDE WINDOWS, SNEAKERS A SIZE TOO BIG, SUN DRESSES AND SKIN REDDENING FROM THE COLD. i hear she is aligned with NO ONE, so be sure to keep an eye on her.

Only daughter of Cormac McLaggen. Raised to be a proper lady and woman by her father’s standards, which meant more often than not she ended up helping her mother around the house a lot, not only with chores but also ensure her father and brothers went wanting for nothing. Now, it sounds terrible, but Cordelia was happy to oblige, loving her father more than anything despite his tendency to be a little over critical of others... some times. According to her mother, he used to be much worse when they were in school, but changed as a result of the last war. 

Since his father was never able to accomplish his dreams to become a quidditch star, and had to make do with being part of a national team without major flare, he’s been training her brothers for as long as she knows. Her? She’s been told she can do whatever she wants. There was a time when she wanted to attempt playing quidditch but after being scolded to get back on the ground and the backyard shed was locked both with charms and a physical lock... well, she’s tried to conduct her talents in a more productive manner.

It was a surprise to her family that she was sorted in Slytherin, when her father, siblings and even her mom were all Gryffindors, but the fact was... she asked for it, in perhaps the only display of defiance against her rather traditional if not sexist upbringing. During her schoolyears she showed special talent as a potioneer and where herbology was involved, so she started saving towards the end of her fifth year in hopes of opening a shop of her own some day. To support those plans she started working as a waitress at The Three Broomsticks. 

Of course, she could have chosen to become someone’s apprentice, but her nurturing nature decided she wanted to be part of the service industry for a while, taking care of others since she refused to go back home to keep doing the same for the men in her family. The Quidditch is still at the back of her head and well... she still hasn’t forgiven Cormac for forbidding her from playing. 

She’s a kind, good natured woman, but often times finds herself harboring bad feelings for people who doubt her based on what she considers to be pardon her french bullshit. Cordelia yearns for a challenge, to be tested, to show the world and her family what she could be capable of if she was only given the chance but alas. Perhaps with the new climate the world is in, that dream is also something too big to achieve for a Lady like her.
