ROBBIE MEETS ARCHANGEL: THE CIA'S A-12 BLACKBIRD SPY PLANE - The Lockheed A-12 Blackbird (Project Oxcart) spy plane, the precursor to the YF-12 and the SR-71 spy planes, was flown by the CIA in the mid-1960s. This one (60-6938) is on display at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, Alabama. Out of the thirteen A-12s produced only nine survive.
