i know akrasia gets a lot of attention but can we just appreciate how heartbreakingly good the acting was from literally everyone??? parker when cib faces him and his voice trembles when he repeats “i didn’t do anything” and you can hear the genuine fear in his voice. especially the way that he apologises before he knows what’s going on since he just assumes that what’s happening is his fault. the hurt and numbness in cib’s eyes and the delivery of the line “are you a good listener parker?” gives me chills every time, and then the immediate frantic regret and fear after he realises what he’s done. and then when steve and james rush in and they’re both in shock choking back tears- i’ve never seen a face more perfectly emotive than steve’s right in that moment, you can practically feel the regret of how he treated parker and the realisation of how much he truly loved him. i’ll never understand how they were able to create such a generally goofy and lighthearted show and then put out something like this that makes you realise how emotionally invested you got in the characters and the plot.
