Dating Cid nan Garlond:
Cid is a secret romantic. Growing up in the social climate of the Garlean empire meant he had to keep his emotions close to his chest most of the time, but he always found himself idealizing the idea of having a partner, of having someone he could wake up with, live with and eventually marry.
Never forgets anniversaries. Cid’s meticulous, precise mind is great for most than just crafting blueprints or putting incredible machinery together! Nearly every little anniversary is marked on his calendar, and he always has his presents ready for you the very moment you wake up.
He’s a fantastic cook and he will make you breakfast in bed. Do not test him. He makes splendid eggs and his bacon (or meatless bacon substitute should you be vegan/vegetarian) is always crisped to perfect completion.
Now, he loves you very, very much and believes very thoroughly in your abilities, but should he see you making a mistake while cooking or crafting or sewing, he’ll very, very gently attempt to step in and correct you.
Whenever the two of you go on a date, he will drive you both on the airship to your destination... if your destination happens to be far enough to warrant it. He only picks the finest of places to go, whether it be Limsa Lominsa’s finest eateries or the very top of the Golden Saucer.
Having Cid as a roommate:
Probably the one of the best guys to live with. Is more than ready to do chores and can fix literally any appliance that might break. He honestly prides himself on his ability to do it, believing it as a method of providing for you. Praise him after he puts a sink together and he’ll be beaming the rest of the day.
However, his living space tends to... breed clutter. He’s constantly bringing parts and tools in and out of his workshop, meaning some might get left around the house. He always apologies profusely when it happens and cleans up his messes, though.
May attempt to “enhance” appliances with his incredible skill. In all honesty, it’s very likely that the value of your apartment or house will go up after he’s fixed and beefed up a few of them.
Does not hog the shower, but he will unfortunately grab the blankets in his sleeps and attempt to tug them all the way over to his side. The best way to get around this travesty is to cuddle with him.
Loves decorating, but at times struggles with it. His meticulous eye for detail means he can struggle to make a decision, even if its something as small as the color of decorative lights for your Heavensturn display.
