Sebastian Michaelis, devilishly handsome, yet sickeningly innocent. Never in his life had he walked among humans, shared their deep emotion, or understood their capitalistic ways, waging war on every disagreement between nations. But then, he never would. Created in Heaven, symbolizing purity and innocence, Sebastian was all things beautiful. Made in the image of his Father, he trusted, believed, and prayed. He never knew evil. He never knew insanity or hatred. Corruption or greed. He never knew negativity. He never knew dominance. Until one day, his Father asked him to descend from Heaven. To save someone who had committed sin- who was hell-bound, yet purer than any soul he'd seen. So, he did so. He was honored that his Father had asked him such a thing, and, as he fell upon the earth, he saw no peace. He saw war. An ugly war. A war filled with hatred and anger- a war against defenseless humans, and creatures he knew only from stories and myth. He shivered, but trusted that he would be safe. That he wouldn't lose, because his Father was watching over him. So he traversed the rocky land, passing through towns because that's what he was asked to do. Though his bright white wings shimmered in the wind, his Father said that no human could see them. The purity was unknown to them, except to few he had chosen to remain on earth, to wander, to protect. And Sebastian paid the humans no mind. He saw poverty and sickness. He saw illness in the form of mental and physical attributes. He saw famine and despair. He saw horror, fear... But a boundless sense of curiosity. He saw wonder and happiness. He saw love and gentility. He saw so many things as he passed, but he didn't understand them. He never thought he would. Until one day, he found the boy his Father had asked him to save. A boy, no older than twenty, laying deathly still on the floor. He was worried, for a moment, if he was alright. But the blue eyes lifted, black wings sprouted, and the soft, pale skin of the boy rippled with a sense of change. Human no longer, Ciel Phantomhive swept himself to his feet, and stared at him. Then, and only then, did Sebastian /feel/. But it wasn't fear, like his Father had cautioned him. It wasn't fear or the rippling sense of dread. The need to back away and hide... No, this was nothing like that. This was awe. This was, he would later find out, Love. @cielphantomhive211
