“Hey, Cillian?” You called out, looking up from your book. You were lounging on the couch in your guest room at the Spring Castle, and you were entirely bored. You looked up and noticed that Cillian had been assigned to watch over you. It was probably an order by Miki, you thought. She noticed your affections for the knight.
“Yes, my Lady?” He said, standing at attention. You gestured for him to come over, and the knight walked over confused. “What is it that you need assistance with?”
You gestured for him to lean down closer, and he did, turning his blushing face perfectly away from you. You stood on your toes, planting a quick kiss on his cheek.
“That’s all,” you said, giggling silently at the flustered knight who stood back up and seemed to scramble a few steps back from you, “Thank you, Cillian~”
“O-of course, my Lady,” he stammered, saluting at attention. “I-I was informed to help you in any way-”
“What a cutie,” you said, cutting him off. You flopped back on the couch, picking up your book and going back to reading. “That’ll be all, thank you.”
Cillian stared at you for a moment before walking back to the door and standing guard again. He didn't say anything while you read, but his mind raced in confusion.
His cheek burned pleasantly for the rest of the day.
