Cillian usually made a big deal about Jack coming out to the island. It was always just nice to see his boy after a long stretch of Jack being away at school. But now Jack was coming to the island in a more permanent setting.
He'd been helping Jack get what he wanted shipped to the island and had been spending the last week or so arranging what had been sent so things would be ready when Jack stepped on to the island. There were some last minute things shipped the day Jack boarded his plane, so they'd be waiting on it. But otherwise, everything was set to go.
He'd greeted his son warmly when he arrived, let him get settled in to his room. But he had his favorite arranged for dinner, which he was serving now. Yes, he'd had Keaton come over earlier to do the cooking and just warmed it up in the oven, but it was the thought that counted and all that.
He dropped a kiss to the top of Jack's head as he sat his plate in front of him.
"It's good to have you home," he mentioned. As if he hadn't said it a million times already. But he'd missed his son, okay?
