i love to think that because of hera taking jasons memory and him never getting it back that he has a bulletin board where he just slowly starts to piece parts of his life back together along with his current life, so its scattered with like photobooth pictures of him leo and piper but then theres also like old letters from reyna and a poster of one of beryls old tv shows so he can reconstruct a full picture of who he truly is

Rick Riordan, author of the award winning Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, has confirmed that the beloved character Ethan Nakamura will not be a part of the PJO TV Season 4.
He released a statement on his website, quote, "It is difficult to cast a character who only has a few minutes of screentime. Therefore, we will be introducing him in the last few minutes of PJO Season 5. The viewers can expect a 2-second cameo, though." He adds, with a proud smile.
He also included that, "The point of the TV show is that we can explore different perspectives through new characters. Therefore, he will be replaced by a random dude named Chad, who sounds like he's some 16 year old's PJO OC."
No one's surprised at this point.

nicobaster is hmm.. interesting. i was mostly aware of them in passing but they've only recently piqued my interest (and i have your kpdh!nicobaster art & masterpost to thank for that, mostly 😌).
a few things about me is that i'm:
a multishipper and can be convinced to ship most things
i love rarepairs (though u probably couldn't tell from looking through my blog i think lmao) and i def think we need more rarepairs in the pjo fandom. it's good for the ecosystem 🙂↕️
i'm a big supporter of my mutuals' otps/rare ships/etc especially when the art and fics are deliciously good 💕
so yeah, i could definitely see myself getting invested in these two, platonic or otherwise!
i also just realized that i don't have like a big nico ship that i'm into? like i can ship him with anybody just fine (with solangelo i'm very particular in the context of which i ship them. i like it when they're both characterized as matching each other's freaks. like the version of will i love with nico is him being a total freak. so basically the opposite of how he was written in tsats lmao. no shade ofc.) when i think of nico with others it's mostly in a platonic context but i do love some rarepairs i've seen from my moots (like baye's franico is pretty cute and valdangelo has always been adorable)
one thing i noticed in your nicobaster posts is how naturally they match each other's energy and i'm really into that ! i also liked all the similarities you pointed out with their characters (specifically with their sisters and their complicated feelings about percy).
it'd be really interesting to see these two interact and me personally i feel like their first meetup wouldn't be super friendly lmao so to see it develop past that point could be really cool 🥰
esp considering that i dont think al would ever react to nico like how nico sorta expects most people to react to him. their initial beef/rivalry (if any) wouldn't have anything to do with nico's parentage or whatever and that would feel really refreshing for him i think

my honest opinion is that s2 is.. alright? i don't think you're missing out on much if you don't watch it but i also don't think you'd have a terrible time if you decided to. i guess it depends on how much your personal enjoyment hinges on book accuracy? i see a lot of fans are having fun with it and if you're a fan of cute grovercy moments or percabeth yearning/angst (how their conflict is done in the show felt a little unnecessary to me tbh i think the book had a perfectly fine setup for this but you might enjoy watching it all the same. leah and walker are fantastic) and spending some time at chb you might have a fine time watching it. i still think the cast is the better part of the show for me tbh and i loved seeing the kids' acting growth.
me personally i just have a hard time liking these eps so far because the disability metaphors with tyson's character don't really feel relevant which is... i mean for me it's important to have that considering this something that the series is literally built on.
i also just don't think the writers really get annabeth's character (she's not a character that's ever needed to be taught how to be more human or "be a kid" like a huge part of her character is how she has unwavering faith in the people she cares about. she's a big emotional bby and i love her for it.) or even percy's most of the time. and i really dislike how they're portraying percy and tyson's relationship. i think the way they chose to portray it takes away from it being his choice to befriend tyson at school. he seems sorta embarrassed by tyson which he wasn't in the books. it was only after tyson got claimed by poseidon that percy was struggling and that's because it reminded him of how much of an outcast he was. it really upsets me that we're missing out on their actual relationship.
its decisions like these that takes the fun out of it for me but there are some gems! let me know your thoughts if you decide to watch it !! 💕 and if you do end up watching, find a pirate site since disney is on the BDS priority target boycott list!
i think rr knows that every season he puts out is going to have a chance of getting the show cancelled because of the backlash so every season he gets he just stuffs as much of fanservice as he can even though it makes no sense for the development of the relationships of the characters
but somehow I think that any changes to nico's (or will's apparently now) character would be faced with backlash even more than any changes to percabeth (because that's just how the solangelo part of the fandom is fjdjdi)
yeah i've had this feeling for a while now too lmaoo
i genuinely hope that there's a significant improvement in s2 compared to s1 but from what we know about tyson .. i have some doubts.
honestly i always felt like they could fuck up s2 as much as they want and it wont matter much to them because they know they have s3 fall back on. fans have been waiting for years to finally have the di angelo siblings on their screens (along with zoe, rachel, the twins, etc). so of course s3 will try harder to appease the fans even if, like you said, some of their changes don't make sense according to canon or stay true to the characters.
tbh its fine if you treat the show as its own thing but we know rr isn't really doing a good job of separating both (seeing as how he wrote wottg) plus he promised them a faithful adaptation and a lot of them cling to that so hard that they willingly ignore the glaring issues
and yeah idk they would really have to majorly fuck up nico, will and solangelo for the backlash to hold any weight on how they move forward with the series atp. we'll have to wait and see lmaoo
whatever happens tho i hope the kids have fun at least !!
