Something that's been pissing me off recently.
Working in and out of people's houses is fun in some ways, but it's super common for customers' kids to watch what I'm doing, and ask me questions while I work. While it does slow me down a little bit, I don't mind explaining what's going on to someone because I think it's kind of fun.
9/10 times this happens, their parents freak the fuck out and get really embarrassed that their kid is acting like a kid, and often yell at/scold their kid for "bothering me". it makes me like a million times more uncomfortable for people to yell at and scold their kids in front of me!! I don't fucking care if your kid asks me a few questions or watches me do my job!!!
I just hate that for some reason it's considered more socially normal to act like a fucking prick to your kids (in front of me no less!!!) than to just let them talk and ask questions and have any fucking autonomy ever!!!
Grrrrr grrrr grrrrrr fuck these people so much. It's so frustrating and it sucks that I can't do anything about it.
