Though a Princess she was.  Rapunzel never attended events for royalty. Her parents feared others would learn her secret and seek out the magic she possessed. 

  The only reason she was even GOING to this one was because Zuko offered to take her.  

She felt comfortable in his presence and he had proven to be someone both she and her family could trust.  

“What if I curtsy wrong? This dress is HEAVY .. and even though you can’t tell when I’m like this -- I’m not wearing shoes.  Maybe we should just go back?”

           “i can see that you can’t sleep either, huh?” aang was making his way over to the firelord---his friend--before he sat next to the elder and wondered what could be going on inside zuko’s head. 

          “at least you don’t have to be alone in that.”

     it was a blessing whenever aang could visit zuko, everything that had happened they finally got some time to be around each other without having to run off somewhere or train or anything like that. so, a night like this was a ‘once in a blue moon’ sort of situation and the young man was going to milk it for what it was worth. 

     and it seemed as though zuko had the same idea as he had the younger teen in a warm embrace. aang would never deny the other a hug, instead he would tighten it. 

          “if you think you’re going to leave now, you have another thing coming.”
