Facebook Launches New Cinema Ad Formats
Facebook is been working on growing and improving its advertising products, tools and formats. Last month, the social network updated its ad to tools. The update gave the social network’s users more data on how they are targeted by brands. Now the social network has added a new product to its suite of advertising products. Facebook recently launched new cinema ad formats. They launched a pair of tools designed specifically for cinema releases on the social network.
Facebook Launches New Cinema Ad Formats
The pair of tools launched for its cinema ad formats was created to help studios drive awareness of their upcoming releases. The two tools for its cinema ad formats were also created to help people find the films they will be most interested in, by reaching those individuals directly.
About the Two Tools from Facebook’s New Cinema Ad Formats
The first tool is called the movie reminder ads and as you guessed it does exactly what it says it does. This tool introduces an ‘interested’ button on adverts for upcoming films. Once this tool is activated, it will ensure that a further automated notification will be sent once the particular film hits the big screen. The tool also redirects users to Facebook’s native showtime lookup. At the showtime lookup, users can purchase tickets directly.
The second new tool is called movie showtime ads. This tool comes into play when people search for films already on general release. The tool will again redirect people to Facebook’s native film portal to book their tickets without the need to ever set foot outside its app.
Facebook Speaks on the New Cinema Ad Formats
Facebook released a statement about its new cinema ad formats. In the statement, they stated that advertisers who are and have tested the tools are already seeing strong results. The tools are driving showtime lookups and ticket sales. For instance, Universal Pictures used Facebook showtime ads to promote its recent holiday film, 'The Grinch.' They saw a significant increase in showtime lookups and ticket purchases.
The statement also stated that the two tools are now available for all film studios in the US and UK.
