Maya: Render View linear-to-Cineon conversion doesn't use default black/white
You might imagine that if you go Display/Colour Management and set the Image Color Profile to “Linear sRGB” and the Display Color Profile to “Cineon log” that Maya would do the default log transform that every other piece of software does, i.e. black at 95, white at 685, gamma 0.6. Sadly it actually appears to use black at -inf, white at 699, gamma 0.6. Fortunately Nuke’s Log2Lin has an “ignore” option which replicates the negative infinity black point…
