Deep in the mist-shrouded Scottish Highlands lies Sheldrake Academy - a place of ancient stone, whispered secrets, and blood-soaked moors. When mutilated bodies begin appearing around the campus and nearby village, rumours ignite: a wild animal, perhaps; a killer, more likely. No one suspects the truth.

Nakoa just wanted to survive his second year. But after a brutal attack under a full moon, survival becomes a different thing entirely. Something with claws and teeth. As Nakoa struggles to conceal his monstrous new nature, he watches his closest friend, Shylo Baker, unravel under the gaze of a different kind of monster – one with human eyes and a human voice. The kind that lives next door and says good morning to the postman.

Now there’s another body to bury, another secret to keep, and the difference between man and monster becomes more and more difficult to distinguish. The hunt is on, and Nakoa is running out of time - before the truth surfaces, before he loses Shylo, and before he becomes the very thing he fears.

Only one part left to write of the next Janiculum chapter and then I should be done! Goodness, it’s longer than I’d planned but first meetings with fellow time-traveling babies are important. So that should be done tomorrow and then Pride’s Folly’s next chapter should be out in a few days.
