Feel free to answer any or all of these!!! "👤- what would you say is your symbol?" "🌌- what are some themes in your dreams?" "📽️- what is your favorite trope in media?"
“👤- what would you say is your symbol?”
I don’t really know yet! I still haven’t entirely worked out how I want to represent myself, much less what I want other people to associate with me. I think as I start to exist more in a social context and work towards better expressing myself I’ll have more of an answer to this.
“🌌- what are some themes in your dreams?”
The big one these days is being back in university, halfway through a term with one or two classes I’ve been completely neglecting? I’ve missed a few assignments but not enough that the course is a completely lost cause, but the course is deep enough into the subject matter that I’m lost. Also, sometimes I’m literally lost on campus, because I’ve forgotten where the course is.
The other recurring theme is playing or watching something, and being very sure I know what it is, but when I wake up I can’t recall anything that’s actually part of that media actually showing up in the dream. I guess I just assumed what it was? Was the name provided to me? Who knows?
“📽️- what is your favorite trope in media?”
I really like when big sprawling RPGs have game mechanics tied to most or all of the minor non-player characters. My first real experience with this was Xenoblade Chronicles, where nearly all named characters have their own sets of tradable items and spots on the relationship/affinity chart. More recently, Octopath Traveler was really good about giving most of the NPCs stuff to do, and I’m eager to eventually get around to playing Triple Triad with all sorts of folks in Final Fantasy VIII.
I guess I really like it when games represent the fact that everybody has hobbies, interests, and social lives beyond the things that are immediately relevant to your own goals. Usually there ends up being some quest or reward for getting involved with these, but regardless, getting to learn about these characters has value all on its own. It’s just good worldbuilding!

Sawk you need to give me the deets, I need names Sawk
I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED, MY FRIEND
Things I’m reading right now: Cucumber Quest, Poppy O’Possum, Paranatural, Neo-Kosmos, Helvetica but it’s been on hiatus for a long time
things I want to read but haven’t gotten to: Prague Race, Demon Street, Monsterkind, maybe Ava’s Demon and Gunnerkrigg Court
I’ve also heard good things about Unsounded but I’m not entirely sure it’s my kind of thing. The art looks great, though. :V
maroon, redwood and cerulean for Renki!!
Maroon - What are you most passionate about?
Renki’s own hardships have made her keenly aware of the struggles of her fellow street rats and loiterers. She doesn’t consider herself a particularly generous or philanthropic person, considering that she barely has enough to support herself most days, but she feels that she has a duty to care of her own whenever she can.
Redwood - How tall are you?
3 feet exactly
Cerulean- What is your favorite way to cool down in hot weather?
Renki takes to water exceptionally well. She loves to swim when the weather permits it.
for the DnD ask thingy: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 feel free to answer as many or few of these as you want c:
Ty for the asks!! Gonna try and answer them all.
1&2: The first character I actually remember playing was a 4e Dragonborn Paladin. The name escapes me though. My folks had the 3.5 Player’s Handbook and Starter Box before then, but I don’t remember playing any characters, just looking at the books.
5: D&D’s Kenku and Pathfinder’s Tengu are both real good bird races. Merfolk are pretty rad too. Also, Tortles.
6: My fave Pathfinder class is Alchemist. Even if the level 1 potions and bombs aren’t super interesting, there are a lot of neat Discoveries that open up as the class levels, like extra arms, cognatogens and healing bombs.
D&D Warlocks are also pretty cool, though I haven’t played one yet. It’s fun trying to make them as non-edgy as possible.
8: Theatre of the mind stuff is really interesting to me. It seems like it’d offer more possibilities and less of a combat focus than minis, tokens, and grids would. Execution is important though, and I’d probably DM with tokens and maps to be safe.
9: Our bard once decided to sit down and chill while being attacked by undead. I don’t think the player was paying attention, but it was such a surreal moment that it’s lived on in our squad’s lore since. Den Yerler’s childhood (writing himself into another character’s backstory), life, abandonment, and ascent to godhood made for a great saga.
11: Pathfinder isn’t technically D&D but it’s where all our best games happened so I’ve gotta put it here. 5e’s probably the version of D&D I’m most interested in right now, though!
★★★Gimme your Goblin Child's Favourites
FAVORITE SEASON: Fall! Summer is too hot and it’s too hard to stay warm in winter. Renki also likes to roll around in leaves.
FAVORITE FOOD: Renki likes chicken the best but she can’t really get it anywhere besides a tavern. In the wild she eats fish, scavenged roots/berries, and also anything that had the gall to try and attack her that day.
FAVORITE ANIMAL: As a Goblin, Renki has an innate fear of dogs and horses. But living in the wilderness has given her a strong respect for wolves and other wild canines. She isn’t going to volunteer to adopt one any time soon but she feels a strong kinship with them. (extra fact: exposure therapy would work wonders with Renki. Just swarm her with a bunch of happy and friendly domesticated dogs and see her screams morph into laughter in minutes.)
