Cipher 38 retrieved the encoded data disk from the usual drop point, casting a seruptitious look around. As usual, the residents of Nar Shaddaa's streets kept their business to themselves, with no wayward curious glances in his direction.
The disk pocketed, the twi'lek agent made a looping route back to his quarters. Habit made him check to see if any bugs had been planted in his rooms. All scans produced negative results. Sliding the disk into the comm unit, he activated it, bringing up a washed out recording of Keeper.
"What now, old man?" 38 muttered to himself, and pulled up a battered folding chair. Clearly, he wasn't being recalled. There would've been a portable comm unit left at the dead drop instead of a disk.
"Cipher 38, you will be making contact shortly with Agent Omega Blakk. He's on world investigating Cartel ties to a terror organization, which may have links with your own investigation. Assist in any way you deem fit."
The recording ended, and the room went dark. There was no point in arguing, given that Intelligence hadn't bothered with an open comm channel. 38 retrieved his Imperial issued datapad, sliding the disk into a receiver and tabbed through several screens before landing on Blakk's dossier page.
Human, dark skin, blue eyes, dark hair, short. He memorized the image given along with programming the comm frequency into his audio sensors. After that, the datapad was put away in a hidden false bottom in one of his kitchen drawers.
Deciding to take the initiative, 38 tugged his Enforcer's uniform into place and settled a mean look into his features before tapping the comm channel open and having it auto-dial the frequency given. He walked his usual route, which always ended at one of several cantinas in his sector.
"Blakk, this is Dio, copy."
