AGHH. THIS TOOK OVER 5 HOURS. BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH. here's some extra notes because i'm unwell

analiese's side:

mirror that is mostly covered with a sheet. she doesn't really like looking at herself. the only reason she keeps it there is in case something happens and she needs to make sure she's not a vampire. she has photos she's taken of marian and of people marian has killed. she also has newspaper clippings of murders she believes were caused by marian. marian likes to send her letters and analiese keeps those too even if they're taunting her. the bandages and clothing scraps are covered in annie's own blood. she tells herself she keeps them as proof that she's still alive and motivation to keep fighting, but really it's more of a memory of the times marian hurt her (which she kinda enjoyed but will never admit). analiese is preparing for another fight.

marian's side:

the painting of annie is one marian made herself. she's begun to get depressed after being alive for so long, but analiese captivates her. the painting is of their first encounter, which is why there are open wounds where annie's scars would later be, most notably the bite mark on her chest. but in this painting, marian has given analiese the wrinkles and gray hair that she has now. she thinks it's beautiful that annie can still age. annie doesn't know that this painting exists. marian is sewing up a shirt that was torn when analiese slashed her shoulder. she leaves the blood as a reminder of how fun it was. she fixes it, but keeps the thread a bit loose so it can tear again.
