Sonia's eyes fluttered open, though she almost closed them again as dark splotches began to cover her vision. She blinked a few times and shook her head, trying to rid herself of the headache beginning to rack her brain. It was nothing compared to other feelings she had experienced, but it would be a nuisance for a while.
Standing up, she took in her surroundings. Her feet were planted on the top of a hill, giving her a perfect view of the area around her. The grass was an emerald green, the sky a perfect blue. She breathed in, the smell after it rained filling her senses. Wherever she was now seemed to be a wonderful place, though looks could be deceiving. She had been the victim to such things one too many times, but if she really was in danger she knew she could hold her own. That was the duty of a princess.
A cautious step forward resulted in her almost toppling over, and she came to the conclusion that her limbs were probably still weak from sleeping for so long. At least that was what she assumed was the cause. She wondered how much more of this place there was to explore when her peripheral vision caught someone else in the vicinity. Her eyes lit up.
"Hello!" she called out to the person, then stopped short, wondering what to say. Slang was what others related to most, right? "Isn't this place hella rad?!"
