Was chatting with @merilles and I realized I'd never actually told you guys about Elrin's kids and husband (mostly because that's a long ways down the road from anything I've written or talked about, but!), so here they are!
Here's Elrin and her husband, Malgelir. He's a marchwarden captain of Lothlorien, and he's much more calm and serious. They're very much in love.
Next, their eldest and heir, Ryndil and their second oldest, Calemir.
Ryndil's a lot like his father, more serious and calm. He didn't have any siblings until he was a tween, so he was a calmer child and spent most of his time with his parents. He prefers not to fight, but is very skilled with a sword when he needs to be.
Calemir's the wild child. Where Ryndil prefers not to fight, she prefers to fight. She'll stab orcs all day long and be perfectly happy. She inherits her mother's love of fighting with a sword and a shield. Her favorite uncle is definitely Elladan.
Lastly, their third and fourth eldest, Ciramdir and Mithreniel.
Ciramdir, my beloved. He's got middle child syndrome... he prefers the company of books and scrolls to people. He reads every history book he can get his hands on and almost never touches a weapon unless forced to. His parents make sure he's a least decently skilled, as there are always orcs lurking in the Misty Mountains. His passion project is reorganizing the Imladris library.
Mithreniel is the bby of the family, beloved by all siblings. She's also the only one that studies healing under her grandfather and Elrohir. And, she's the only sibling who takes after Malgelir in weapon choice; a spear. I think she's also the "beauty" of the family, ie: she could date almost anyone and she choses none lol. I like to think that she always smells like healing herbs.
