Slowly inching back into the TBOSAS fixation (I blame the fever) so in honor of that and my return to the Star Wars fandom my brain decided that it’s time to have a TBOSAS Star Wars AU
The mentors are all rich senators, the tributes are normal everyday people those senators run into on occasion, and every single mentor gets a real nice dose of a reality check from those tributes!
Imagine the Covey performing for a senate gala or something, really playing into their role as entertainment, but as soon as the curtains close they want nothing to do with the senators. Coriolanus tries to flirt with Lucy Gray and she flirts back, but when she sees his red flags she runs like a bat out of hell and never looks back. Circ and Teslee frequently play the tired IT people who have to ask for the 918716th time that day if the senator has tried turning their holopad on and off again. They get reeaalll snarky towards the end of the work day, though never enough to get them fired lol.
Whenever any of them run into senators, they have the “sir, this is a Wendy’s” vibe going. They don’t take shit, they’re not impressed, and half of the senators absolutely hate it.
