Richard Foster’s Round House (1968) revolves – like the rotating café at the Berliner Fernsehturm or the Bonavista Lounge at downtown LA's Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
Foster died in 2002 ; two years later his house was sold for $ 1.55 million. The new owner spent $ 900,000 in renovations, removing the original dark interior walls and brown hexagonal floor tiles, installing a new kitchen in ash-wood and replacing bathroom tiles with marble. Two years later he put it on the market again, asking $ 2.295 million.
After buying the house in 2010 for $ 1.45 million, the current owners replaced walls with sliding doors and separations in translucent glass and polished stone, and swapped the floors for terrazzo.
