This is odd. Just staring at this guy, he can tell exactly why people get weirded out when he’s still wearing his goggles for dealing with Poison-type Pokemon. Gordie doesn’t even think he can see his eyes.

Must be part of the aesthetic-- it looks cool as fuck, at least.

Gordie: 65. Fractured Arm. ||I’m opting to leave out the second bit of that but still I am SO sorry, Gort.||

    This was not how Leon had wanted this to go. He’d hoped that Pokémon hunting with Gordie might be fun and good for bonding, though maybe choosing the Lake of Outrage wasn’t his... smartest idea. It had seemed sound enough at first, in his defense, he knew there were rock types that hung out around the island and he thought it might interest his step brother but...

    Well, really he didn’t have anyone to blame but himself. He had known there were wild Pokémon around-- and strong ones at that-- so he should have had his guard up more and definitely shouldn’t have panicked the way that he did because he didn’t have the clearance to have Dragapult attack.

     Where is Gordie? His brain is still a bit scrambled, but he knows Gordie probably got knocked around too. He can hope that he at least didn’t wind up tumbling down the hill the way Leon had, but he still needs to check and make sure he’s okay. He can hear Dragapult fussing as he tries to sit himself up to no avail, though it takes him a second to realize that his pokemon isn’t fussing over him-- rather over Gordie where he’s laying a couple of feet away, apparently taking much the same tumble that he had. It doesn’t take a doctor to see that he’s landed on his arm badly.

    “Shit! Gordie, are you oka--” Leon moves to stand up, though there’s a shooting pain out of his hip that’s strong enough to make him feel a wave of nausea. He swears again under his breath, deciding that moving is not a good idea right now. “Are you awake? I’ll try and come help.”

     Being able to work out a get-together with Gordie was pretty difficult.  Kabu’s schedule was usually pretty open- because challengers would get crushed by Nessa, or they’d be so scared of Kabu that they would take a lot of prep time before actually battling him.  Gordie on the other hand...  From Kabu’s perspective, his fan club and photo studio kept him busy whenever the league didn’t.  Don’t get him wrong- Kabu was always training hard to become the best that he could- but that didn’t mean that he didn’t value being social with his friends.  The thing was...  Kabu was already at Bob’s Your Uncle, and his Corphish Pasty was starting to get cold...
