The Dish On: Circle City Sweets
You’re reading our blog series “The Dish On”! Explore our restaurant participants, meet the chefs, and whet your appetite for à la carte 2017! This week, #TheDishOn features Circle City Sweets, a participant in the à la carte 2017 Food Festival and a popular Indianapolis boulangerie/patisserie.
If you have a sweet tooth, be warned: you’ll likely be unable to resist the scrumptious desserts and pastries at Circle City Sweets in Indianapolis.
Pastry Chef Cindy Hawkins first discovered her love of baking as a child, making pies with her grandmother and Holly Hobbie-shaped sugar cookies with her mother and sister. Today, she is the French Pastry School-trained owner of à la carte 2017 sponsor Circle City Sweets, a bakery and dessert-catering business in Indianapolis.
The best croissants in Indiana, flaky and buttery; baguettes beloved for their “crustiness and springiness”; fresh fruit bars (including pumpkin for fall); and the hard-to-pronounce Kouign-Amann (recently featured on the Great British Bake-Off, in case you’re interested)... Circle City Sweets is a baking paradise!
Indeed, Circle City Sweets even offers macaron baking classes, whether you want to finally make use of that cheesecloth or just need a new treat in your baking arsenal. And don’t forget to call this à la carte sponsor to cater your next dinner party or bake your wedding cake!
