Circles
This band, right out of Australia, is quite tasty. Like, Reese's Pieces tasty. It is relatively new on the scene and making a big impact. It is signed to Basick Records, based in the UK and already has one tour set up throughout Australia this year and has an EP out.
The band has five members, Perry (vocals), Ted (guitars), Matty (guitars), Drew (bass) and Dave (drums). The guitars are a bit odd for their genre in that, while they are tuned as per the genre, they only have six strings (generally to play so low bands use seven-string guitars). The vocals are also abnormal because you can understand them.
The "djent" feel is very groovy and the lyrics are packed with meaning. Circles gives you more than just something to listen to, it gives you something to feel.
You can check them out on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, here on Tumblr, on the band's own site and on Youtube. I recommend "Clouds are Gathering".
There is no doubt that you will have a good day if you give this band a try.
