The ‘Hydra’ Story.
From the moment of human existence, there has been an order. An order of elites that keep to the shadows, holding a dark, dark secret. The very existence of ‘our’ kind has been orchestrated by a set of higher beings who, throughout time, have shaped and moulded our history. Using us as slaves, test subjects. Constantly looking down on us as inferior. The elitists are the only ones with knowledge of this terrible truth. They swore into an oath that they would keep the wealth left behind by the ‘visitors’ for themselves and would use this wealth to hold power over the rest of human kind.
Upon the visitors first return, the elites had planned a strategy. They aimed to assassinate the higher beings, take their technology and become rulers over all they could survey. The plan failed. The visitors, being far superior in intelligence and of course science, quelled the elites chances. Punish them however, they did not. Intrigued and seeing into a mirror darkly they told the elites they could keep their wealth and continue to oppress the masses but in return they would ask for test subjects and overly obscene ritual sacrifices. A mere game to them, a joke. So, beaten and not wanting to lose their fortune, the elites agreed.
