IMMUNITAS Non-revolution or anti-revolution thus come to be legible only as counterrevolution, just as foreign war and civil war, and eventually criminality and treason will coalesce: this porosity turns politics itself into a continuation of war by other means. This is why the rules of war will be suspended for captured soldiers (the enemy is criminalized as a conspirator), while the citizen is treated as an enemy and subjected to military sanctions. The outside is on the inside and the enemy is always already inside the gate. Polyneices is the prototype of the disowned other: a foreign body engendered through the repression that summarily expels it.
