I just had to make Yuuji being a kaiju defense force officer a reality (it's on paper ok that makes it RE-AL).

Yuuji on his highschool graduation day doesn't even have plans for dinner let alone his future. When a Kaiju interrupts their ceremony Megumi is among the troops that go into battle.

Yuuji does something stupid that saves Megumi's life and he's like, oh ok this. This is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life'. He's taking the oath like a week later.

I think a lot about highly perceptive and emotionally intelligent Yuuji. He knows he's in love with Megumi and that Megumi hasn't realized that he's in love with Yuuji too. He never planned to interfere because he believed things were better this way - until Sukuna convinced Megumi that he'd lost everything. Now Yuuji needs Megumi to not only wake up from the bath, but to open his eyes to everything.
