Dubai has converted future cities ' problems into possibilities for development, partnership and innovation to meet the requirements of the present and lead the world as the future's innovative and sustainable city. The business environment of UAE and Dubai is witness to many successful innovations. By introducing unique and innovative legislation and services, the UAE has made strides in enabling investment and promoting business success and development. In this regard, from September 29 to October 3, Sheik Hamdan released instructions for holding the fifth edition of Dubai Investment Week (DIW 2019) under the theme ' Investing in the City of the Future.
We arrived in Chengdu and it's time for a short break at our nice Warmshowers Host Justin! The city is super modern and everywhere are big and fancy skyscrapers! There are probably millions of shared bicycles all around the city and many people use it. The shopping areas are huge and many people are on the streets. There are big stores of all international fashion labels! We also saw some small self service supermarkets with no people working there. You just unlock the door with your phone, buy the things you want, pay with your phone and then leave again. In the metro tunnels are TV screens which are synchronized with the speed of the bypassing train. So you watch out of the window and it seems you are watching a not moving screen on the walls of the tunnels. We had the idea that China might be quite modern, but the reality is, that we sometimes think the people are living in the future here...
