College!AU Project - Meet the Characters: Robert Bruce Banner (11)

Day 11 is here! I actually was gonna skip today again because I had another busy night at work, but I really enjoy doing this, so here you go! Today’s character mood board is a genius who doesn’t get mad often, but when he does, it’s a little scary!

(WARNING: Mentions of alcohol, weed, and getting high)

Bruce is a year older than most of the group, like Tony, but a senior as he went straight to college out of high school. He’s a Biochemistry Major and a Nuclear Physics Minor. He works at the labs at the school, often getting bothered by Tony, but it’s very helpful when you need help on a science assignment and need access. He used to be on the football team in freshman year, but he quit in favor of focusing on his studies. Although considered the most responsible, Bruce is the one who gets the group booze and weed for parties, seeing as he’s the oldest and he has connections. He personally doesn’t drink because it gets messy when he does, but he doesn’t care if the others do as long as it’s used safe and everyone’s careful. (You actually come to find that Bruce’s place is the best place to chill, relax, and get high, as he doesn’t mind as long as you don’t bother him.) There’s something up between him and Thor, but no one knows what it is - not even the two of them.

Day Two of my character mood boards for my college!au project! Today’s character is our favorite 100+ year old brunette! (Although he’s not that old here.)

Bucky is a year older than the reader, making him 20 turning 21 when the story starts. However, he started college right after high school, making him two years above her as a junior. He’s co-captain of MCU New York’s football team, the Avengers, playing as a Full Back, specifically. He got a football scholarship, which is the only way he could go to college as his dad died in high school and his mom is taking care of his little sister, Rebecca. He actually went to a college in Florida for the first couple weeks of his freshman year, but personal reasons found him dropping his classes and brought him back to New York rather quickly. He’s studying mechanical engineering for his major, and is minoring in business. He works part time as a mechanic at Goose mechanics along with Carol Danvers and her girlfriend - the owner - Maria Rambeau. He also studied abroad in Romania the first semester of his sophomore year (which is the year before he meets the reader). He gets around campus, if you know what I mean, and the group often tease him for it.

I know it’s a little later than promised, but here’s the project I’ve been working on.

I’m having some difficulties with the actual story at the moment, and I don’t expect it to be done, soon, so, instead, I’ve decided to share some mood boards of the characters with you all. I’ve made boards for the whole group (there’s 17 of them that hang out regularly in this AU, not including the reader) and, depending on feedback, I might make more about minor characters such as teachers, bosses, enemies, etc.

Originally, the reader was an OC of mine named Tyler Rose “Ty” Deaton, but I’m trying new things, and that includes stepping out of my comfort zone of OCs. I’ll be posting a character every day, including the board and a little summary/backstory. Today is the reader.

The reader is nineteen and finally starting college at Marvel Capital University, or MCU for short. She’s from California and most of her family still lives on the west coast, but her aunt, uncle, and two little cousins live near campus, so she moved in with them after graduating. Not having enough money, she worked for a year in between graduation and starting college, making her a year older than most of the freshmen there. She has yet to decide what to study, so she’s taking generals. She works full time at a bar called Shield, and part time at a pizzeria called Russo’s.

We’re almost to the end! At this rate, Saturday will be the last character! I also posted the Masterlist, today and will be updating the others with that! For now, you get to meet the previously mentioned computer boy!

Vision is the oldest of the group, one of the seniors along with Bruce. He is a Computer Science Major and a Sociology Minor. Although he’s the oldest, he’s one of the newer members of the group, having come from Britain in the middle of the previous year. Him and Wanda started dating the summer before the story takes place. He came over and met the group through his uncle, Edwin Jarvis, who works as Tony’s father’s butler. He, himself, works at a computer programming company called Ultron as an intern. He, as you know, is in a loving relationship with Wanda.

We’re now on Day 12 of the College!AU Project! Today we’ve got the God of Thunder joining us!

Thor is another junior in the group, although he’s one of the older juniors at 21. He’s majoring in Cultural Studies and minoring in Classic Literature, which surprises a lot of people considering how burly he is. He’s on the Avengers on the Offensive Line, Center specifically, and is one of the brawniest players, so seeing him hunched over a classic novel at the library was shocking at first for most of his fellow students, including you. You get used to it, though, especially when you find out that he actually works at the Campus library and volunteers at other libraries in the city to read to kids. On the other hand, he’s a party animal and can drink his weight in booze. He likes video games, too, and has most of the newest consoles, so the guys like to hang out at his place Saturdays to play video games, drink beer, and eat pizza. Like you learned yesterday with Bruce, the two have a weird thing going on, but, again, no one really knows what’s up.

Hey, hey, hey! It’s time for some character mood boards! Today is Day Four and our College!AU character is our very own birdbrain!

Sam is the same age and year as the previous two. He is also on the MCU’s Avengers, starring as a Half Back. He’s majoring in Psychology and minoring in Physical Therapy. His childhood best friend, Riley, had joined the Army right out of high school, but had been paralyzed a little over a year later in the Middle East. Sam had always wanted to help people, and this made him realize how specifically to do that; he interns at the Falcon Physical Therapy Clinic and volunteers to host therapy groups for veterans and family members of military. He is, as you found out after meeting Stevie yesterday, happily dating our Golden Boy.

Erased From the Stars - Meet the Characters: Carol Susan Jane Danvers (18)

Here it is, loves! The last day, the final character! I am really hoping to get the first chapter up sometimes this upcoming week, so look for any announcements on that! For now, our final character is a stubborn, badass pilot!

Carol is a senior, making her the oldest out of the females in the group. Her whole life all she’s ever wanted to do was fly., so she’s planning on going into the Air Force as soon as she gets her Aeronautical Science Degree. Her girlfriend, Maria, owns Goose Mechanics, which is how her and Bucky met after he started working there. The couple want to join the Air Force together, with Maria working on planes and Carol flying them. (Maria already graduated a year prior, hence why she’s not an official member of the college group.) Carol also helps out with Maria’s daughter, Monica, so there’s a lot of nights where, instead of going out with the group, she goes to hang out with her girls. She would rather go to a bar and do karaoke than go to a frat party and play beer pong, anyways. You and the other girls often ditch the guys to that exact thing with her.
