Christian raised an eyebrow, throwing his head back to laugh. "Of course, that sounds interesting." The few most elaborated dishes he could do would be enough to have a nice dinner, he thought. "So do we have a valentine's day date?"

Days had passed, weeks even, since the last time they saw each other. They could blame work and life in general for getting in the way, but they would gain nothing by doing it, instead, Christian invited her to spend the day in the countryside. He had heard that nature positively affected one's mood, and although he had no problem with it, both of them had only been talking about work, so it was enough.

Missing her was still foreign, yet he counted the hours to see her. The next day, he woke up early because they agreed to have breakfast at a place he suggested before the road trip. With car keys, wallet, phone, and eagerness to see her, he was ready to leave.

[sms] Morning, Aeri. [sms] I'm outside.

He leaned his body against the car, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited for her. Christian turned his head towards the entrance of the building only to spot her quickening her pace, and, in synch, he opened his arms when she leaped into them. A soft chuckle left his mouth, pulling away just enough to see her after the hug. "Hi," he said. "Long time no see."

Send 🌿 to accidentally get caught under the mistletoe with my muse.

Such business events disguised as a harmless cause were common in certain industries, especially the fashion industry in which Aeri operated. Christian, on the other hand, owned a technology company, and he wasn't used to events like the one she invited him to, however she wanted his expertise near just in case anyone would like to invest in her vision.

Normally, he would pick one of the suits he already owned, but this time, a particular designer wanted to dress him: Aeri. He accepted, of course, and her dress matched the color of his attire. The man was pleasantly surprised when they arrived at the place. The decorations, the food, and the atmosphere were outstanding.

"Is that a garden?" Christian leaned closer to her to ask her in her ear. The loud music made communication difficult, and after sharing a couple of dances with her, he wouldn't mind breathing fresh air. She was the one leading the way to the aforementioned garden, they were not the only ones there, but it was big enough to have their own space. He inhaled the cold air and rubbed his hands together.

The walk took them far from where they were before, a large arc of lights in front of them was quite inviting, and he followed her to get a closer look. Aeri wanted a picture there, and Christian wouldn't deny it. "So pretty." The man held his phone to take a picture of them, but something caught his attention. He looked up, only to find a mistletoe above them. "I can't believe they put that in here," he chuckled softly, shaking his head a little. He heard her laugh as well, and as if it was nothing, she walked away.

Christian gathered his courage, grabbed her hand, pulled her into his arms, and leaned closer to press a soft kiss on her lips.
