For once, she was torn.
Between all her assignments and new targets she hadn’t had the time to even think about it but in truth, her unconsciousness always reminded her or the events. What transpired, what didn’t. How nothing of it mattered yet was so imperative. What is she supposed to do? Ignore it? She isn’t one to give up but when a personal message was sent to her, she felt like running away.
So here she is. Wynona Riator aka the Warrior was powerless as she knelt in a respectful position in front of a desk. She didn’t look up as the other figure stood tall and the feeling of being watched from every angle flooded her mind. She didn’t dare speak.
“You failed.”
It was said simply, as a statement. The truth. Warrior looks up. “It was chaos like no other-”
“Why did you not call for reinforcements.” Again, that deadpan noise.
“I didn’t see it necessary-” The huntress shuts her mouth as a cold sensation grows at her neck, something made out of flesh and strong enough to break her bones passes through and she recoils as all ‘eyes’ are on her. “I.. I..” She freezes in sudden cold panic.
“For as much as this concerns our cause, if a phenomenon is out of your ability to handle it, you are obliged to log and report then leave the scene for more qualified agents.” The figure stops, staring intensely at the knelt person. “It is your obligation, Wynona. One you did not followed.” The uncomfortable pressure stop and Warrior is able to breath again, heavily. “I-it won’t h-happen again, Boss.”
“Oh.” The figure smiles, too cold and careless and inhuman. “I am aware.” It steps in front of the huntress, lifting her chin up with her finger. “You will not get the chance to. You will be put into the Containment Room.”
Warrior’s eyes widen and she shakes her head. “N-no please...They’ll kill me! Please!” She knows what the room is, a place where inter-dimensional criminals are put away to rot. Some of said criminals she had hunted herself. “I-I’ll call for help next time, I’ll gather all the information you need but please! Don’t do it..”
“Silence.” The figure doesn’t shout, there is no need to. She can whisper the word against an hurricane and the room becomes silent instantly. Warrior shuts up and the figure, revealed to also be female, hums. “You are dismissed.” She says monotonously, sitting up at her desk once more as guards come up and take Warrior away.
“Host.” She says to an empty room. “Let us see how much of a distinguishable player you really are.”
