So what went down on my La Union Solo Travel?
La Union, Feb. 7-9, 2018
(The Circle Hostel, San Juan Surf Resort, Surf Shack, Urbiz Garden Bed and Breakfast, Beach Bum Food Park, El Union Coffee and many more)
So here's my first "legit" travel vlog, since my Zambales, Baguio and Aussie trip was more like "Documentation".
I started to make a travel vlog that will make you appreciate the place more. so what went down in my La Union solo trip? (This was my birthday gift for myself and way to start my 2018 as mentioned here).
The best thing in traveling is appreciating God's masterpiece.
So 2am of Feb. 7, 2018 ako umalis ng Manila for My La Union trip, I was expecting na 5hrs lang yung biyahe ko, plano ko kasi abutan yung sunrise but unfortunately it became 7hrs kasi nasiraan kami sa may bandang Mabalacat if I’m not mistaken (pero before that sobrang takot ako kasi nung umaga pag gising ko ang bumungad sa akin sa newspaper is yung aksidente sa LU nung Feb. 5) lol so as I arrived La Union nagka problema pa ko kasi sabi sa reservations ko sa isang site, 6am ang check-in pero pag dating ko dun ng 9am, 12nn pa pala ang check-in so pinatuloy muna nila ako sa “common room” nila (picture below)
so after bago mag 12nn ginawa ko is naglibot libot muna ko, started to film and appreciate the place, so nung 12nn na nag check-in na ko sa bed ko (room kasi siya na full of triple deck room pero safe naman siya no worries, guaranteed) in my Day 1, I had my lunch in Surf Shack **BEST KEBAB EVER** then I met new friends agad and they invited me for a dinner, featuring foreigners *flattered* Go make friends they said, so I did. so habang palalim na ng palalim ang gabi, lakwatsa naman ako sa beach, nag tampisaw ako since mataas masyado yung alon for beginners, so gumagabi na I went back to the hostel and helped for the preparation of dinner, bonding din yun :) shoutout to kuya Mark’s Veggie Curry!!!! solid! so after nun kwentuhan, inuman, kanya kanyang topic, I met this Japanese Guy named Hiro and Swedish guy (?) and asked me about the North Provinces so sinuggest ko after nila mag LU try to go to Ilocos Sur, then Norte then diretso sila ng Cagayan tapos pag pabalik na sila pwede sila dumaan sa Baguio, and so on. **fast forward** so natulog na ako ng maaga kasi umuulan din sakto yung weather sa beer kaya inantok ako agad, para narin maaga ko magising and masulit yung Day 2.
So on My Day 2, maaga ko nagising kumaen ako ng Verb (Pandesal) and nag lakad lakad ako agad, inexplore ko siya, then I went to Urbiz bed and breakfast and had my 2nd breakfast VIGAN LONGGANISA (dami ko pala nakita na kainan dun) !!!!! so ayon na nga plano ko sana pumunta sa Tangadan Falls but unfortunately walang tour guide and clueless ako sa price so I just went to the beach to try surfing pero wala naman instructor so ginawa ko tinignan ko sila if kaya ko, so sabi ko “kaya naman, tatayo ka lang pag may wave na” tapos nag rent na ako ng board, then ayun binugbog ako ng alon at ng surfing board HAHAHAHA bwisit yan, so 4pm sinet up ko na yung go pro for timelapse sana ng sunset kaso yung mga cute na bata nag tatakbo sa go pro (wala naman tao dun for 2hrs so kala ko okay don) so fast forward, 5pm I went back to the Hostel hindi ko nanaman natapos yung timelapse HAHA kasi 5pm kailangan ko rin bumalik kasi nagpa-service massage ako instead of going to Tangadan Falls, I had this full body massage for 1hr, and ang small world kasi yung nag hihilot pala tiga samin dito sa Manila and kakilala ko family niya and she knows My family din HAHAHAHA so fast forward after massage tumambay ako sa beach and nag reflect, appreciate ng place (photo below)
so after that I had my dinner at Beach bum food park and I had my last dinner/dessert in El Union Coffee and tasted the famous Smore’s!!!!! After nun nag hanap ako ng place to chill yung iinom tapos may live band? unfortunately nakatulog ako pero nagising ako ulit kasi may maingay yun pala sakto yung time na yun para mag punta sa live band (malas dapat pala weekends ako pumunta para solid daw) pero no regrets, jk lang yun. so okay na, nakahanap ako ng pag chillan, kaso maaga nag sara, pag tapos non nag lakad lakad ako then I saw this “Tagpuan” parang sari sari store siya pero mga tinda is Mami, Tapsilog and so on, dun ako uminom parang old school inom sa sari sari story HAHAHA tapos the next morning, I was in a hurry kasi 8am dapat nakaalis na ko ng LU to catch up my 3pm class, if wala ko class I can stay there the whole day pa sana, so I went to Tagpuan (famous pala siya pero last day ko lang nalaman, and sad kasi dun yung mga pang practikal na foods HAHAHA) no regrets parin kasi pricey man yung iba worth it naman!! So that sums up my trip in LU <3

I recommend "The Circle Hostel" if you want to stay in more comfortable, clean and quiet place while you are in La Union. Go make friends they said, so I did. Met new friends from different side of the world, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Canada. - You should also try Beef Kebab Rice of Surf Shack and Tagpuan's Beef Pares!!!!!!!!
Shout out to Mark who made our dinner on my first night, best veggie curry ever! and to Gail, thank you! :)
