I tried to draw the Infernal Summit on the world map :>
Oh gosh, what is art? What are wolves? And what reallyyyyyy are backgrounds and trees?
Still, I wanted to upload my sketch of the Alpha and Omega, the wolf statues that guard the entrance to Nightmoire. They are hugeeeee. The entire territory now sits in a sunken bog and valley set behind the statues.
These are the statues that Kai and Nox’s spirits were blessed into by the Shadowbinder. Kai’s, ‘Alpha’ is the first to wake. ‘Alpha’ isn’t used in the traditional sense, but as the chief protector of the land. The fierce denmother to see Nightmoire to safety. Laikaios is now more dragon than statue, though the cold, empty stone still stands and her spirit can fill it when she wishes--allowing her to see danger coming through the gates of Nightmoire.
‘Omega’ or Nox, is the second, and more statue currently than dragon, though she does wake on occasion, most often in times of great need. She is the calm serenity to Kai’s fierce protective nature, between the two of them they have a sort of yin-yang relationship.
The statues were originally built and sculpted during the height of Clan Nocturne, on the territory’s farthest edge. They were made in the image of the sacred umbra wolves that frequented the land. After the serthis/maren war that decimated Nocturne, the statues were among the ruins that still stood, though they fast became overgrown with bramble and fungi. When Thren began to uncover them she felt that there were protective spirits within, that they felt alive. And when they first began to wake, curls of smoke both of dusky shadows and glowing wisps curled from them. It was at this time that the wispwillow wolves began to gather in the ruins, singing their calling songs.

Thinking puffin-style cliff burrows with vertical connecting interior shafts and elevator/kite exterior rigging. Would be drilled into the seaward face of the zephyr steppes under the Cloudsong towards the border with Fire and the tsunami flats close at hand.
Oh Iceland, how do your cliffs possess so much dopeness.
