Don't know if this information is easy to check for you guys, but if it is, could you check how many hours of C3 we've had so far? (or just how many hours of BH) and compare it to how many hours we've had of M9 and VM?
Thanks for all the hard work btw <3
Thanks for the question! (We love to get these.)
The total running time for Campaign 3 as of Episode 113 is 465 hours, 42 minutes, and 29 seconds. The average episode length is currently 4:07:16.
The total running time for Campaign 1 was 447 hours, 39 minutes, and 45 seconds. The average episode length was 3:55:37.
The total running time for Campaign 2 was 556 hours, 34 minutes, and 24 seconds. The average episode length was 3:56:50.
Some more numbers just for fun:
Campaign 3 has already surpassed Campaign 1 (115 episodes long) in run time.
After Episode 113 of Campaign 1, that campaign's total run time was 437:40:53.
After Episode 113 of Campaign 2, that campaign's total run time was 445:52:31.
The first 113 episodes of Campaign 3 are approximately equivalent in run time to the first 118 episodes of Campaign 2.
All of our run time data is available on our running times page. @critrolestats's data for C1 is available here and C2 here. We hope to be able to offer our data in Google Sheets soon as well.
Hi, hope you're doing well!
I really love your monster designs, both the more humanoid ones and the actually monstrous ones. I was wondering, what are some inspirations that you have for creating them? any artists that inspire you? Or things that you often reference or channel into the designs while making them?
Hey! Thank you so much! I do like drawing monsters, they're fun to play with <3 Let me put into a read more because Im in a yapping mood and a sketch bit in there
Hello, hope you're doing well!
For the ask meme:
a story idea you haven’t written yet
a trope you’re really into right now
talk about your writing and editing process
your favorite part of the writing process
A story idea I haven't written yet
Hmmmmmm, i want to write something with the third sunlight sister.
I also want to write Rumi wearing the strap, but she needs some more confidence first.
A trope I'm really into right now
every trope ive ever liked has fled my brain. umm, lovergirl!mira i guess.
My writing and editing process
Sooooooo, i've found that writing in tumblr drafts to be super helpful for me despite the danger. I can use it on my phone relatively easy so I can still write even when I'm not at my computer. It's a very narrow screen with no visual clutter and if I want to go away from the screen I have to save and completely exit it so it actually keeps me more focused. One of me betas has said this is feral behavior. I have lost writing through this method, but its working for me so whatever.
I have a few different things going at once usually (I have five drafts atm) and I hop between them based on where my interest is at the moment. I'm really wanting to work on bit by bit chapter two but my interest has been drawn to two other fics I've been noodling over lately.
As for editing, I try to fix as many grammar and spelling mistakes as I can before I send them to my betas, but I still miss some. I send all of my betas the work in separate docs so I know who is talking to me about what ever issue there is. And then when they read them and give me suggestions I'll go through and try to fix up anything that they feel needs work and then I'll ask them to look at it again. When I get the go ahead from all of them on the final draft I then post it to tumblr and then ao3.
My favorite part of the writing process
Honestly, the part where I'm struggling to get a thought out right and then it suddenly clicks is pretty great.
And then the sharing it part. I want other people to like my stuff.
Hey there, hope you're doing relatively well with everything going on. For the fic asks! 20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process? 23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write? 39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?
20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?
Oh my favorite part... I usually start off a fic with one or two big scenes I get really excited to write about. So when I finally hit that part of the fic... I get all excited about it!! 🥰 Hitting that part is always the best time.
23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?
This may come as a surprise... but hurt/comfort. 😂😂😂
39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?
I think... my stories come together nicely and cohesively? I feel like I can always make them pull together somehow! And I think I can make people sentimental about certain moments/inanimate objects, which is always a plus!
for the fanfiction ask ask thing: 1- What made you start writing fanfic? / 15- How do you usually come up with ideas for fics? Does it start with a specific scene, just a concept that's interesting or some outside thing (like songs, drawings, etc) inspire you to create your own things?
1. my middle school group of friends thought it’d be fun to start writing fanfiction for harry potter. we used to post on ff.net for each other, at like 11, 12. it was all horrible but we had a great time.
15. i’d say most of the time now it’s a concept, some kind of au or something, but sometimes it’s like, i get a line of dialogue or a scene and then build the world around that. i used to be inspired by songs a lot more, but now whenever i hear love songs i’m just like, gay and think about my girlfriend, so it’s become more difficult there. lol
Hi, love your work! If it's not too much to ask, can I request some stats? Once C3 is done, can you make a comparison between all the campaigns and see which party has killed the most enemies? And then within that which member of each party has the highest kill count?
Absolutely! We’ll make a note of it. We love getting asks like this, so feel free to request any kinds of stats from us—we can’t guarantee we’ll have data to share for all of them, but we can certainly try!
What do you think was Dorian's reaction the first time he heard Imogen singing? Do you think he ever caught her singing some of his songs to herself when she thought no one was around?
I think it's more like, "huh," and he quietly listen. He might even be surprised that she sings his songs, like, where did she hear it. He never sang these songs to them (obvs she hears it from taverns/bars). I can imagine his musician brain thinking of new songs just so if he can, persuade imogen to sing them.
