Hello. I’m new, new to tumblr. I wanted to create a blog to bring my imagination to life. I like writing and I would love to share some day to day adventures, [maybe not all but, some]. I, in fact am no way a writer at all, and this is strictly for fun and for myself. I may look back in a few months or years and I would like some memories to be left in place [again, for myself]. 

a little bit about myself: I’m a follower of Jesus, I am in my churchs’ worship team [I play clarinet and I sing] I love too live life and enjoy every moment as if it were my last and I love spending time with my children [two boys] and I also love having my husband home, when works gives him a chance to come home, anyway [Army wife, and very proud]. I just became a RN [thank God, life long goal] and I’ll be blogging a bit of my journey through school and how I overcame that journey with the help of God and much, much prayer. 

For now, I think I’m done, but I’ll be back in the upcoming day or two.

Thank you again, Bochumer Symphoniker, for having me in Bochum with Nielsen’s Clarinet Concerto! This was a project for me to remember forever. I remember the finale of the @ard_competition in 2008 when I played the Clarinet Concerto op. 57 by Carl Nielsen. It was a huge challenge back then for me to have to play it by heart, as the rules required. Nerves, sleepless nights and superstitions about being able to learn something better by heart by having the score under one’s pillow at night all led on stage (with the @brsorchestra behind me) to one of my most intensive experiences ever. Compared to nowadays I have to say that this masterpiece isn’t getting easier the more you perform and experience it. This piece of music is challenging both technically and musically, to the extent that after each performance I have the feeling of being not just a better clarinetist, but a more mature human being; it makes me realise that qualitatively high-value art requires time, not just to mature within ourselves, but to be recognised as such at all. Finally I decided to record Nielsen after more than 15 years of studying it. Nevertheless, my approach to this work is changing permanently. It never gets boring. At any rate it was a privilege for me being able to discuss all sorts of details with Magnus Lindberg. Broke my clarinet out for the first time in years. I'm trying to start simple and small while I rebuild skills and muscle, but it's so frustrating. I can hear how, well, reedy I sound. Plus, while my fingering and music reading skills have have atrophied some, it's nothing compared to my embouchure.
