Accutane & ADHD Stuff
So I finally started Accutane! Or Clarvaris, technically. I started four or five days ago and haven't noticed much of anything yet. I've read that because Vitamin A and retinoids are fat-soluble that having a high-fat meal before or with the medicine can make it easier on the liver and reduce side effects. I can't tell if I'm psyching myself out or if my lips have been more chapped lately, but either way, it’s mild. Compared to a lot of other people who are trying Accutane, it seems like my acne is not as severe. Facially, it’s been concentrated along my jawline, often on my cheeks and by my ears, my chin, and under the jaw on my neck. More recently, it’s been popping up more all over my neck as well, which I’m sure you can imagine is making me sooooo happy. I’ve struggled with it on my shoulders, chest, back, and the back of my neck pretty regularly for probably 15 years now as well.
I also started taking Ritalin after meeting with a psychiatrist. She basically told me to play with amounts per my own discretion to see what works best. Taking the 10mg pill certainly makes me feel wide awake and very calm, but it takes two to really make me feel focused or productive. If I continue with this, I’m guessing I’ll take one pill in the morning, two at work, and one later in the work day. I thought I had more to write about, but this is all I can really come up with right now. :0
