Email isn’t dead.
Explain why you think more marketers will increase spending more on email marketing in 2016 than on any other marketing channel.
I believe that marketers will increase spending on email marketing this year because email simply is not dead like many thought it would be. All email did was change. To further explain, email is not necessarily used for communication in one-on-one situations (we have texting, What’sApp, Messenger for this); instead, what we have is an era in which people use email more for commercial purposes in their personal lives.
People are more likely to use email to keep up with their favorite company or brand than for anything else. Also, adding to the fact that according to Forrester Research, 72% of all U.S. adults who use the Internet send or receive emails via their smartphone on a weekly basis, it is critical to reach out to a consumer via a device that is always by their side.
Furthermore, you can infiltrate the customer journey by including offers in a promotional email. According to a Direct Marketing Association, “66% of consumers have made a purchase online as a direct result of an email marketing message”. Furthermore, according to a study done by Campaign Monitor in 2014, a marketer is “6x more likely to get a click-through from an email campaign” than they are from a tweet, which shows how email can be used effectively over social media. This is why marketers must take advantage of this digital reality.
