So you’re saying to yourself -- ah, crap, I’m not sure if my intertextual pairing for my comparative essay is working well or - worse still! - you’re just drawing a blank and can’t choose a film to compare with one of our primary texts.
Well, never fear (Underdog is here?), for here is a table of examples of pairings that either students have made in the past or which I thought could prove fruitful. While the connections are yours alone to make and I DO want you all to make these intertextual leaps and bounds yourselves, I recognize not everyone’s film/media exposure is the same, so hopefully this will get you started if you’re just plain stuck.
