z-t-music remix
Lot of things have been going on in my life recently, so in order to find some balance I went back into making music. I found an old electronic/dance remix of Classical Bijoux that originally was meant to be the intro to my previous version (found here).
This ‘intro’ was going in a much different direction however, so I shelved it.
The new addition can be found here! Please keep reading if you’re curious about the process.
Pics from a ‘Now On Stage’ interview with the main cast from Land of The Gods/Classical Bijoux. They presented flowers to Maa-kun and Urara at the end, and look at these faces... I love them all <333333
Yurika needs to come with a fucking warning of moe heart attack risk...
Honestly you have to bury me with the shining tuxedos Aichan,Maakun,Yurika wore at the beginning of Classical Bijoux.
I NEED THEM
my first zuka-themed-remix
I had some fun the past couple of months writing a “remix” of the main theme from 2017′s Classical Bijoux. With music written by Oota Takeshi and Takahashi Megumi, it was the first revue I saw live and the work really stuck with me. I composed a bit of music in college, primarily works for video games, a student musical, and a local spa, so my focus was not on making a direct remix of the original like something a DJ would do, but instead take bits and pieces of orchestration, melody, etc. to make something new. I don’t imagine it will be everyone’s cup of tea, but I have a couple of observations that might be interesting nonetheless. (The end result is the last video after the jump.)
Yesterday I wrote on my blog about how much I adored the arabian golden number in “Classical Bijoux”,one of the best revues of the recent years according to the enthusiast reviews and the amazing highlight video published on Hankyu’s official youtube channel.
I wrote it had that Jump Orien gusto that was exsquisite and never disappointed.
So THAT IS WHAT I WAS REFERRING ABOUT
The opening of the awesome 1993/94 hoshigumi Revue, the follower to the splendid nihonmono “I won’t forget the young day’s song”.was none other than TERRIFIC AND BRILLIANT. Full of crescendos, music beating faster, atmosphere growing more and more dynamic,an awesome and commanding Shime, followed by an always striking the point Mariko, then Shima Yuuka and Shiraki Ayaka make the oriental party start.
This troupe is really where I feel like home,my HOSHI home.
I would like to stress the line on Shima Yuuka, what many called the next successor to Nesshi’s top musumeyaku. She was the typica boss musumeyaku growing up in hoshigumi, clever, bold, self confident, amazing singer,no no,MORE THAN EXSTRAORDINARY SINGER,beautiful face, beautiful personality. She was partnerred with Mariko many times, tho the pair was not officially the top nimbante combi.
She just had Shiraki Ayaka on her road to the top musumeyaku title, both in 92 when she was Top with Shime and then in 94,when she didn’t retire with Shime and didn’t leave the place. Jump Orient infact is her last appearence on zuka stage. Such a pity for such a talent.
P.S. IF YA WANT I CAN PUBLISH THE EXSTRACT WHERE MARIKO AND HOSHINA YURI WILL “KILL” SHIME ;)
