Hullo wonderful people! :) This is a classical-pop piece I wrote and sang titled, "We Are One (The Global Anthem)". The legendary Nina Simone impacted the world in diverse ways during her lifetime, and her impact still flows out upon the earth even 17 years after her death. Today, she still speaks to me; through the words she spoke, through the actions she took, and most definitely through the timeless music she made. Nina Simone said, "As an artist, I believe that it is my duty to reflect the times." Taking a cue from her, I am confident that, that is exactly what I did with this song - reflect the times we are in from my perspective. So I take a bold step today, to share one of my pieces on here, consequently with the world. I pray it resonates with a beautiful soul, in some way. Namaste :)
