I don’t know how people don’t find history fascinating/unrelatable- we have small intimate details about what larger-than-life historical figures were like 600+ years ago.
Like, how people would bring food to offer to Elizabeth of York, and there was record upon record of people bringing cherries to her, which leads most historians to assume that cherries were some of her favourite foods. I just love that I know Elizabeth of York, the woman who’s (for all intensive purposes) marriage brought an end to The War of the Roses, just really enjoyed cherries cause same girl, same.
