Pt. 8 #Hats & #Quantization It's fine to use triplets and all that. The key is to never over due them because they can make the track sound very redundant and unauthentic. With triplets and stuff on hi hats; always remember less is more. I keep them simple but use them in the right spots. Placement is key. I normally do a few hi hat tracks with different frequencies. Don't always use the same hats. Take your time and go through your kits and find the right ones. Pt.7 J.Dub's Moogie. Every great Music Producer has a few signature sounds they use in their production. The first time I heard @teddyriley1 use this moog sound in his production I was hooked. Then Devante Swing used it heavily with Jodeci in all of his production. We all tweak it differently but that sound to me is classic and I love how warm and subtle it is; but when used right it just makes the track sing! I have several Moog sounds like this. One I made back in the day @teddyriley1 even reached out to know what I was using to make the sound.😉 Of course I told him, but not anybody else! Pt. 6 Acoustic Guitar I play guitar but not like my Bredren @lonnielove2345 & @hitmansteviej_1 I normally call them after I lay the pattern I hear then they lace me all the way up with live acoustic. Blessing to have incredibly gifted Bredren that rock with me and vice Versa. Guitar for me always adds depth and allows me to find a melody line to fall into.
