Late last month, Lost Beach dropped an absolutely charming new tune. We’ve held off on sharing it to coincide our feature with the release of a music video for the song. Today, we finally get to satisfy our hankering to share this sonic and visual package. Lost Beach, as you might recall, is the Los Angeles based solo project of Jonny Perdue, who also plays in Los Angeles based indie band Freedom Fry. He follows up on his compelling debut releases from earlier this year with Classless Man, a dusty chugging, scruffy lilting indie rock jam that vividly evokes open highways, curling waves, and plenty of sunshine. Classless Man brings to mind early The Strokes with a bit of Cold War Kids, all injected with some of Milky Chance’s earthy, upbeat prance. Its music video, which also emits plenty of sandy beach town vibes, was directed by Freedom Fry. You can catch Lost Beach live when he plays the KAABOO Festival in San Diego come September 16th or at the Hotel Café in Los Angeles on September 24th, which happens to be an intimate venue I’m very fond of. Re-visit Lost Beach’s first releases on Soundcloud, here.
