Rakshabandhan is round the corner. Come celebrations and we all want to deck up. The innate desire to look good and feel festive looks for aesthetic dressing options, pieces of jewelry, and everything to pull in together, and pull –out a great look. Well, honoring the desire is our prerogative and we love ourselves more each time it is done. My favorite (I guess everyone’s) is elegant attire that is easy to wear and carry and is comfortable to be worn the whole day long, without me feeling like getting out of it the moment Pooja is done. I love to dance in it, flutter around, take innumerable selfies, steal a few laddus from my brother’s plate, put the Rangoli, and feel every bit of a Divine diva the whole day long. And a lehenga stands true to this every bit. Elegant, Easy, Comfortable, Sassy, Festive, Celebration-ready, and makes feel like a diva. It gives me the feet to steal the laddoos and dodge the chase by my brother in an attempt to get the booty back.
Well you know I am already thinking of the lehenga for the attire this Raksha Bandhan. Hell Yesss! That’s been on my mind lately and I have been scouting women's wear sites for some time, for going to shops and a mall is so passe. While with the sites flaunt intimidating variety, it is such an eye-tonic to look at beautifully crafted lehengas with no guilt attached. Thanks to technology, sites are displaying the products via reels and videos on their social media handles. I realized making a choice has become all the easier. It also helped me to create a look easily (and copying it is the easiest 🫣). It is easy to gauge the fabric, the fall, and the overall look via a reel or video.
