Guys. I can't believe they really sent Claudeleine to super hell...
oops working on a claudia x Madeleine zine hopefully in time for flamecon 👀
Lestat’s saying, “I don’t know this house.”
But Louis does. The building’s coming down, but there’s someone crying out; and Louis is jumping ahead without meaning to. Smoke stinging at his eyes, burning his throat, he leaps over a fallen beam, and then she’s there in front of him: yellow dress, all curled up waiting, forever waiting to die. His Claudia.
“I can’t believe I thought you were an angel,” she hisses, arms around her knees, “Why’re you here, Daddy Lou? Did you not listen to me, again? Not believe me, again?”
“I heard you, I heard you at the séance. I know- you hate me. It’s-” he looks over his shoulder.
Lestat is wading through the fire, letting it lick at him, then depositing Madeleine in front of them. Lestat says, “Your wife.”
Nevada (or: Louis/Lestat go to Hell to reunite Claudia with Madeleine) https://archiveofourown.org/works/88462976
Saw a tweet that said that the reason Claudia couldn't find Madeleine is because Madeleine already overcame any past guilt/regret clinging to her. She passed on while Claudia is in purgatory. Claudia's rage and spite towards Louis and Lestat continues even after her death, even with calling her life "bleak." Perhaps this seance finally let her pass on, letting out her anger as the last nail in the coffin to fully detach herself from Louis and Lestat and reuniting with Madeleine in the beyond.
I'm taking that as canon, I can't live with the idea of Claudia being stuck in darkness forever
