How am i supposed to go on about my day knowing claudia and madeleine are apart? That madeleine accepted death hoping to be reunited with claudia in the afterlife only for claudia to be stuck nowhere bc of her unfinished business, unable to move on. That she has looked everywhere for her and she is surely looking for her lover too, wherever she is. That destiny is so cruel and after having such hard lives and a short time with each other, STILL not even in death can they rest peacefully together.

Can I just say that I am soooo relieved that Claudia called out Louis and Lestat for treating Madeleine as an afterthought? Because the fact that they go on and on endlessly about Claudia (understandably) but NEVER spare a thought for Madeleine even though one of them was her MAKER has always rubbed me up the wrong way so I’m glad to see that Claudia is fucking enraged by it as well. And I HOPE that time with their heads detached might inspire something in them to try and help Claudia reunite with Madeleine wherever she is to give her the peace she and Madeleine deserve.

ohh baby matter of fact claudia wasn't mad ENOUGH. Knowing for a fact that your parents never truly loved you, not in a way that mattered anyway, and watching them time and again INSIST that they do love you when really they're too caught up in their own gothic romance novella to help you out of your miserable, miserable life. That even in death they felt the need to wrench you out of your solitude only to absolve themselves of their own guilt and prove, once again how they don't actually give a shit about you when they didn't even consider bringing madeleine to you- the only, ONLY person who actually chose you above everyone else. They can fool themselves all they want and maybe they do think that they truly love you, but it doesn't MATTER. because the only thing that matters are their actions. And they have clearly shown through their actions, for (hopefully) the last time, that it was never about you- atleast not before it was about each other.

Claudia, love, you deserve to burn down the world for all I care. you deserve to be your conniving, mad,destructive self and that choice is something that should Never have been taken away from you
