I always wanted her to jump, to plunge. To risk pain or embarrassment, to feel bodily the glory of this rare nature. To paint something truly epic - busy, tall, complex, masterful - to make more astonishing what was already astonishing. To freefall into a the vastness that contains both wildness and tranquility.

continuing the tradition of practicing tears and lighting styles on roimata. and a companion piece, because i don’t draw claudia enough.

Summary: Cornwall. Winter, 1971. A storm, an old house on an island. A glamourous artist with secrets aplenty. This is the Gothic novel Roimata used to daydream of inhabiting. She wonders what her younger self might think of her as a protagonist. Too indecisive. Spends too much time thinking and not enough acting. Why won't she just tell her how she feels!

The groundwork for any great painting is the sketch. The groundwork for any good relationship is... something Roimata and Claudia are going to have to figure out.
