Their ringtones for each other: Davey actually doesn’t really pay attention to things like personalized ringtones, but Jack keeps suggesting his for Clara should be “Shiksa Goddess,” which doesn’t amuse either of them. Clara actually recorded Davey saying her name in a causal conversation, and that’s her ringtone for him. Says it helps break her concentration when she’s focusing really hard on something. Their FB relationship status: Clara did it herself the day after it became “official,” but she didn’t tell Davey she did it (Davey doesn’t regularly check Facebook) and he was promptly besieged by congratulatory texts and indignant demands as to why they weren’t told sooner. Whether they are addicted to couples selfies: Clara loves them and David loves Clara, so he’ll put up with them. His favorite one of them is probably the one on the Coney Island boardwalk. Which of their friends is over-joyed shipper trash that they are together: Katherine is pretty smug about it sometimes, because it was her idea they have dinner together. Who overshares intimate relationship details: a clam shares more about their relationship than Davey does; but he figures Clara will just tell Katherine anyways and Katherine will tell Jack and Jack of course, will tell everyone else. He will seriously talk to Jack if it’s something weighty. Who steals the other’s clothes: Clara has a thing for this huge flannel shirts that she and Davey share jointly. Who’s the PDA fan: Clara takes a certain amount of pleasure in pressing a perfect lipstick kiss to Davey’s cheek, because she likes the look of his blush against the color. Davey will kiss the back of Clara’s back when she’s especially stressed or ranting about something. Who proposes: After driving every single person in their circle of friends absolutely crazy with the “what-ifs” and “maybe I shoulds,” Jack just basically shoved Davey at Clara and told him he wasn’t welcome in Katherine and Jack’s home until he did something. Admittedly, this did speed up the process a little bit. Davey sometimes need to work under the (metaphorical) gun to do something. But it was a lovely proposal, by all accounts.
