I was hoping to see them live around my birthday (july 2nd) but it seems like they keep announcing European summer fests that I can't afford :( I'm still hoping for a July 4th gig in the states though.

They have been keeping that date curiously clear...and the closest one around it is just a quick trip north. I reckon the chance of this is rather good myself. The continuing festival dates have to be money-raising for something major, otherwise they wouldn’t clog their schedule with these time-wasters on such an important year.

You’ll find that’s why i’m in next to no FB groups - knowing what they’re capable of offline makes it even more squicky to see them online. Anyway, there is a private group for the FFPB Foo Free sub but it looks like it’s OGs only

I love the songs from C&G so much but I hate the production. The overall EQ felt off to me and kept me from loving it fully. I hope they take things back to their roots, in a sense. Not necessarily saying Butch but someone along those lines. That being said I’m fucking hype!

I understand. I sway between wondering how the mix would’ve sounded in another producer’s hands and thinking, this is exactly how they needed to sound for what they wanted to do. They recorded it all with instruments they don’t normally use, so it makes sense to really get into the spirit of it by using a producer they haven’t worked with before. It challenges them to colour outside the lines, even just a smidge. I’m dead keen to see where this is going - whether they’ll continue experimenting or ring in FF25 with a no-frills rock album. At least they’ve proven they can do both!
