You’re on your 4th cat cow when you hear him behind you. His footsteps slowing on the gravel, turning towards you on the grass, and he quietly makes his way over; controlling his panting as he lays down on the grass next to you.
“One more cat cow and then we’ll ease into Child’s Pose!” Alanis yells from the front of the group.
You hold for a breath and then hunch your back once more, feeling the stretch in your lower back. “How was your run?” You peek an eye open and look over at Dave who was watching you, his arm thrown across his eyes shielding then from the sun, a small smile on his lips.
“Invigorating.” He reaches up and plucks a cherry blossom from your hair. “Can’t believe you pay to come do this in the park when we just did it last night in bed.” His eyes crinkle as he laughs, and you swat his arm.
“Be good or I’ll make you leave before downward dog.”
