Finally drew Dr.Claw again

i wrote some clawgadget based on a quote from an episode

“You'll know gadget. one day i'll let you see my face just before i finish you off for good.”

Well, this certainly wasn’t how they’d planned it.

Five minutes ago, Claw had Gadget at their mercy, tied up in a chair in a warehouse with no hope of rescue. Things had been going according to plan, and Claw finally had their chance to finish him off for good. But they just had to keep their word, didn’t they? Pulled the MAD company mask off right in front of Gadget, let him finally see who had been pulling the strings behind MAD this entire time.

And that insufferable man, he- he smiled. His face lit up like a damn lightbulb, looking up at Claw’s face like he’d seen the damn sun for the first time in years. If only Claw hadn’t listened to the words Gadget spoke thereafter, they could have ended his miserable little life right then and there.

“…You’re so beautiful. I think you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen. Well, at least my death will be pleasant. If I may ask one thing…”

So here we are now, Gadget looking up expectantly at Claw with those big ol eyes, eyelashes fluttering innocently, and Claw looking away to hide the telltale heat blooming in their cheeks. This isn’t how these things go. Gadget’s supposed to be disgusted by Claw’s face, supposed to cry, supposed to at least show some modicum of fear. Not…whatever this was.

“I’m not. I don’t know what you’re getting at, Gadget. But this little…ploy. Will not save your life.”

“…No, listen this is important, can I just ask you this one thing? Please?”

Claw grimaces, spins around again, fixes Gadget a heavy glare. “…Fine.”

“…You know my niece, Penny? She…she’s the one that usually…never mind. Just…” Gadget shrugs heavily, causing Claw to twitch slightly, thinking he’s trying to escape. But he only tips his head the other way, exposing the coiled metal under the remaining skin subconsciously as he continues talking.

“…Her family. I’m all that’s…Left. I don’t like to talk about it. But. I need to know that she’ll be safe. Cared for. She’s such a smart girl. She deserves more than I can even give her. Could you…”

Claw doesn’t even hesitate with the ropes, slipping them off with earnest.

“…Absolutely not. You’re her family. She’s thwarted every plan I’ve had so far. She wouldn’t be happy with me. Go.”

Gadget sits in the chair, staring up at Claw, stunned.

He presses a kiss to the corner of Claw’s mouth before he runs off.

I’m drawing some Dr.Claw/Gadget Stuff rn and I realized that “Maybe you’re right” by miley cyrus sounds like such a good breakup song for them and “The one that got away by katy perry” sounds like Claw reminiscing over what could’ve been.

Making me sad lol I need to listen to some happy music lol

like. gadget has no clue what happened and claw is just so disgusted at this white guy and his insistance on sharing his mouth germs
