Clay Collard vs Anthony Pettis - PFL 1, 2021
Clay Collard (21-9) is having one hell of a post boxing run. While he didn’t win the 2021 PFL Lightweight title, he beat former UFC champion Anthony Pettis. And then he came back this year and took a win over longtime UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens.
Now Collard faces off with Alexander Martinez (9-2) in the main event of PFL 2022 #4 this Friday (June 17).

Clay Collard beat the ever loving shit out of Anthony Pettis. Like had Pettis turtled up in the 2nd hanging on by a thread and they could have (arguably should have) stopped the fight. Collard attacked Pettis to the body, pushed him back to the fence and gave him no room to breath. Then Anthony Pettis lands a head kick that he turns into a flying knee with like 80 seconds left in the fight and just isn’t able to close it off. Absolutely wild stuff.
In PFL’s return, both their champions at LW and FW lost and their main star acquisition that they picked up in their off time (Pettis) took an L. All three are likely out the tournament after the next round (though it’s not guaranteed with 10 fighters and 4 spots).

England's Alfie Davis (19-5-1) finds himself in the finals of the PFL 2025 Lightweight tournament. It's been a good year for Davis. He beat out former Bellator LW champ Brent Primus in the semi-finals and got arguably the best highlight of the year for PFL here against Collard with his spinning back up elbow finish of Collard.
Davis will face off with Gadzhi Rabadanov (26-4-2) in the main event of PFL World Tournament 9: 2025 Finals this Friday (August 15).
